A Prayer for Marriage
Often as husbands and wives press towards unity, there are hidden traps that have been laid. Here’s how you can cover your marriage under the Lord of Hosts.
Lies:
Luke 8:17 “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”
Father, I’m praying for the exposure in both me and my wife to God’s light and truth, and protection from falsehoods that would want to create division. Help me distinguish between our walk and other people’s walk. I will take comfort in you. Help me die, make things known in my life, repent and change, so I can listen to you.
Marriage:
Prayer that all disturbance in my marriage would cease and show themselves for what they are.
Protection while we are traveling, including cars in all directions (left, right, behind, forward), that animals would stay away.
Mind:
2 Corinthians 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
Matthew 16:23 “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
God’s constant watchfulness with us today. God’s spirit to provide light and guidance in every aspect of what we do and who we talk to, that your spirit above all would be evident above our thoughts, our feelings, and emotions.
Prayer for love, joy, peace, and strength in every circumstance.
Body:
Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
I shut doors and ask the Lord’s presence when we request against illness, pestilence, plague, disease, and allergies. Any negative elements in the body to be exposed and driven away in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Request for comprehensive physical protection from head to foot where we tread, in any spiritual atmospheres, covering muscles, joints, bones, and organs and anyone that wishes us harm.
Spirit:
Mark 3:11 spirits fall down before Jesus.
The Lord rebukes black magic, paganism, and any spirits that do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord that are trying to follow me or my wife, I command them to flee at the name of Jesus.
For Wife:
Lord, fill her up with the knowledge of who you really are to her. When she experiences shifts, you would come down and anoint, fill her with the ability to take down the giants in her life, and spread truth into the wounds to make it a fulfillment of your promise to never leave her or forsake her.
